The Rebuilding of Jurug Bridge has Made it Difficult for People to Travel

The rebuilding of Jurug Bridge was started on 26th September 2022, the change was done because the structure of the bridge is going to be upgraded to a new one. There are currently 2 bridges, bridge A and B, and the one that is being reconstructed is the B one. 

In the process, riders from Solo who want to go to Karanganyar have been delayed because they can only use bridge A that is currently being used as a two-way path.  Haryono, 45  one of the riders stated that the road that used to pass the bridge is too cramped because of the two-ways path “It’s still manageable even though there is traffic, but the place is too cramped to fit many cars and motorcycles in one place” he said.

The purpose of the rebuilding is to change the old structure. It is said that the new structure, as I heard a Box Girder, is safer and more stable than the old one. The completion of Jurug Bridge reconstruction is estimated for August 2023.
